Maria Longworth Storer - From Music and Art to Popes and Presidents (Membership Meeting)
Maria Longworth Storer is best known as the founder of Rookwood Pottery - a very unusal success story for a woman of her time. Her legacy, however, extends well beyond that. She was very involved in helping to cultivate the cultural heritage that Cincinnat enjoys today and also exerted her influence nationally and beyond as a result of her connections to diplomats and world leaders.
Nancy M. Broermann and Constance J. Moore collaborated on a book to tell her story and they will be sharing their research with us. Books will be available for purchase.
